Holy shit, it's been a while since I posted anything here. Lot's of new things since then. Newold laptop, new buttons, new name (no more 'minus,' it's just LOBIE now), new look to the blog, new location (East Bay ho!), and best of all NEW FUCKING MUSIC!

DJ Lobie now gets past the 120-135 bpm range, meaning more styles, more tracks, and MORE BASSSSSSS! Dubstep and SF Glitch-hop/Lazerbass now grace the Lobie kingdom with their throbbing... er... presence. And how best to start off such a wonderful relationship with a mix spanning all three of Lobie's genres/bmp ranges (can one really say I keep to one genre?) in one glorious just-short-of-an-hour block of raging beats and enveloping bass, with more chaos in the high range than you might be used to. All in all, it's a mix I call "Three Cities," moving from the styles of the San Francisco Bay Area, to Parisian clubs, to dubstep parties in London, UK.

Lobie Live!

DJ Lobie Minus will be spinning at Porterpalooza this Saturday!

It's taking place from 1-10 pm at the Porter College quad at UC Santa Cruz. Lobie will be spinning a short interim set from 5:40-6:00, as well as possibly another short set sometime during later in the day.



UPDATE: I will be spinning from 5:40-6:00, 7:40-8:00, and 8:40-9:00 so come check it out!

Crashed

My newest mix, Crashed, is up on The Pirate Bay and seeding as I type this.

Quite possibly my most epic mix yet (not to sound bombastic or anything), its actually two sessions I recorded, the first of which completely crashed Ableton. I mean, completely crashed; I had to copy every audio file and effect automation by hand because the original file was so fucked. Hence the title.
